Science-to-Business Marketing Research Centre presents its new publication on innovative approaches to knowledge and technology transfer in México

August 25, 2015

Last 25th of August, the Science-to-Business Marketing Research Centre (S2BMRC) from Münster University of Applied Sciences (MUAS) has presented a new book on innovative approaches to knowledge and technology transfer (KTT) from Higher Education Institutions (HEIs) in the region of Latin America. The book was presented at the University Book Fair (FUL, for its acronym in Spanish) hosted by the Universidad Autonoma del Estado de Hidalgo (UAEH) in Pachuca, Mexico.

The University Book Fair – FUL 2015, is one of the most important meetings for the publishing industry in México. This year the central topic was “Justice”, having the Republic of India as a special guest to bring forward the importance of this topic for emergent economies, along with 180 presenters and more than 30,000 attendees. Under its economical and educational perspective, the presentation of our publication - “Change to Success: Case Studies of Latin American Universities on Solutions for Promoting Innovation in Knowledge and Technology Transfer”- took place at the “International hall Margarita Michelena”.

The publication, jointly edited by Prof. Thomas Baaken, Victoria Galan-Muros and Sue Rossano-Rivero, from the S2BMRC, is the result of the project UniTransfer Executive Training Course, a project coordinated by the S2BMRC with the support of the German Academic Exchange Service (DAAD) and the Rectors’ Conference of German Universities (HRK), aiming at improving the necessary skills from leaders in KTT positions by training them on executing effective knowledge transfer and developing effective cooperation through partnering strategies with different external stakeholders from HEIs in Latin America, specifically in Mexico and Central America.

This book is a clear evidence of the commitment and expertise from Münster University of Applied Sciences (MUAS), through its S2BMRC with these initiatives aimed at strengthening the capabilities of individuals in knowledge transfer positions, willing to promote innovation in their regions.
